Periodontitis is caused by bacteria and the toxins they secrete. These can spread rapidly and cause dental plaque. If these deposits are not removed by good oral hygiene, it creates tartar. A normal toothbrush is no longer sufficient; to remove tartar you need a professional cleaning from a dentist or hygienist (e). If tartar remains on your teeth, periodontal may become inflamed. Be aware that only a few patients have experienced these symptoms of inflammation. A padded periodontitis may have caused you to lose teeth. Always go to your dentist for advice if you are unsure about the condition of your gums. |
